Apple Crumble

By the way I made an apple crumble today, adding to the crumble mixture oat flakes, which is one of my favorite breakfast meals and it was as good.

Prep. time: 30 mins

Cooking time: 45 mnis

Serves: 8

INGREDIENTS:

The bottom dough:

4 oz butter (1/2 cup)

1 and a half cup flour

2 tbsp. water

up

The filling:

7 to 8 medium apples

1/4 cup sugar

1 heaped tbsp.cinnamon

1/2 cup coarsely crushed walnut and roasted

The topping:

4 oz butter (1/2 cup)

1 cup brown sugar

1 and a half cup flour

1/2 cup oat flakes if desire

How to prepare the bottom dough: Melt the butter, add the flour and knead very well with your hand then add the water and mix again. In an apple pie tray pat the dough to cover the bottom and a bit higher around the edge.

The filling: Wash the apples, peel, cut into chunks and mix with the sugar, cinnamon and walnuts very well. Put the mixture of apples all over the dough.

the last step is the crumble topping: Melt the butter, add the brown sugar then the flour and mix very well until it looks like bread crumbs. If you like you can add the oat flakes, to do so mix them all together with the topping. Cover the apples with the crumble mixture, using your hands without patting or pressing. Bake it at a temperature of 375 degrees F (180 to 190 C) for 45 mins. or until the top is light golden. Then few more mins. from the top to become golden if needed.

A warm homemade apple crumble aside with a scoop of vanilla ice cream is the perfect way to finish a good meal, and it is one of the greatest dessert ever. It is very easy, simple and yummy, it is worth giving it a try.

ENJOY!!!
